Business Tips to Keep Your Production Company “in Business”
Presenter: Gail Mooney
There are plenty of seminars out there that teach the “tools” of video as well as how to use those “tools” - from the DSLR to the RED and everything in between. But what seems to be lacking in many workshops is teaching the fundamentals of sound business practices of video production. Gail will provide some key tips to keep you from making some business mistakes that could put your out of business before you even get started.
• Video production and your role in the process
• Copyright registration of the “collaborative” project as well as clips
• Licensing your work – as well as negotiating and licensing other work and music
• Estimating a project and managing it – once you get it
• Distributing and monetizing your own work

At this event, we are pleased to be showing off the recent addition of Maxon Cinema4D Lite into Adobe After Effects CC. For years many motion graphics artists have been looking for a way to easily integrate 3D animation directly inside of After Effects rather than moving to an external program. While Adobe has tried to incorporate some types of 2.5D types of effects inside of AE, none of them were true 3D animation. Now, the team from Maxon will now show how their 3D system works and how to produce incredible 3D animations without ever leaving your AfterEffects project.
