to be Recognized at Awards Ceremony During DV Expo and Web Video Expo
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - September 19 - The editorial staff of DV magazine
today announced the finalists for the magazine's fourth annual Media Masters Awards, which were chosen from an outstanding field of 125 high quality entries from seven countries. The awards will be presented from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at the Long Beach Convention Center as part of the week-long DV Expo and Web Video Expo.
"More and more digital video makers are becoming aware of the Media Masters

The Media Masters Awards annually recognize the masters of digital video, art, creativity, imagination and tools, and prizes will be awarded for the best works in the following six categories: Motion Graphics, 3D Animation, Documentary/ Corporate/Training, Commercial Spot/PSA, Music Video, and Low Budget.
The finalists in each category are:
Motion Graphics: Esteban Madrazo for "Metals: Bumpers," Forest Post Productions for "2000 Masco Manager's E-Man," Reality Check for "Knicks Open," and John Dickinson for "John Azzi 2000."
3D Animation: Reality Check for "NHL on ESPN," Phil McNally for "Pump Action," and Timothy Coleman for "Bowlin' Fer Souls."
Documentary/Corporate/Training: Ruffell Films for "Lincoln University Promotional Video," ICE for "Janssen Double Impact," Bear Creek Corporation for "Bat Houses," and Jason Thompson for "Operation Copycat."
Commercial Spot/PSA: Ruffell Films for "Simon," Ruffell Films for "Brett," Ed Heath for "M-Files" Spot, and Reality Check for "Chalk Boy."
Music Video: Modi for "Get Some Go Again," Leanardo Blanco for "Nobody Loves You," Josh Presseisen for "Sneaky Alien," and Serious Pictures for "In Flames."
Low Budget: Mitchel Rose for "John Deere," Greg Lemkin for "Tokyo: Spirit of Changing Times," Chris Vincze for "Superfly," and Millard Rice for "Cat Diaries."
DV Expo, now in its fourth year, features five days of more than 50 sessions in which digital video professionals share their expertise, exchange ideas, learn practical tips and see the latest products for digital video production and delivery. Web Video Expo, which is being presented for the first time this year and is co-located with DV Expo, provides practical solutions for digital professionals who want to produce and distribute compelling rich media for the Web.
Sessions will cover content acquisition, authoring and compression processes, broadband delivery strategies and business practices.
In addition to the workshop sessions, the event will feature more than 100 exhibitors who will demonstrating digital video and Web video production, postproduction and delivery tools and services from October 3-5.
