SAN FRANCISCO, CA November 28, 2020 CMP DV Media Group's DV magazine will discontinue its partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), and end involvement with the Digital Video Production Workshop (DVPW), which was held in conjunction with the NAB conference.
Under DV's supervision, the DVPW became one of the most highly attended and successful events at NAB.
Scott Gentry, DV Media Group director, commented, "NAB partnered with several different companies to produce the DVPW with little success before partnering with the DV magazine."
Gentry added, "we couldn't produce the event we wanted with NAB, so we're taking the conference content to the Javits Center in New York City."
As a result, DV magazine is bringing its instructional content from the former DVPW to its newly launched DV Expo East, which will be collocated with TechXNY and PC Expo, June 25-26, 2002, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
"The two largest segments of this industry are located on the East and West Coasts," said Gentry. "DV Expo West is taking place in Los Angeles this December, and now DV Expo East will be in New York City this June.
We're bringing the show closer to an audience of professionals in the Eastern region."
