This all-day intensive workshop will focus on the art and science of lighting for the digital age. The day starts with fundamentals: Understanding light, color, how we see light, how cameras see light and the basics of capturing light for the moving image. The second portion of the day is demonstrations of lighting techniques on a live model to help explain lighting positions, light quality and control. The third part of the day will discuss how to utilize inexpensive and readily available tools to achieve your lighting needs. The final segment of the day will deal with discussions and demonstrations of advanced lighting techniques for various situations.
